Store It With Built-In Cabinets

Today's blog post focuses on identifying and utilizing those unused spaces in your kitchen. We've been inspired by This Old House Magazine and found some creative and beautiful ways to... well, store your stuff, with built-in cabinetry.

An under-the-counter wine rack will keep your bottles within arm's reach. It also keeps the corks moist and is a beautiful way to display your favorite (or most used) vintages.

In new home construction and remodels we're seeing a reemergence of mud room storage. After all, your mudroom should be functional! The set-up (above) utilizes a storage bench with a hinged lid and plenty of space beneath for the tips of your kids' muddy boots. Wall hooks give jackets, bags and hats a home. And the top shelf adds even more storage.

Kitchen cabinets can contain more wasted space than you think. One of our favorite storage solutions is the pantry kit, above. If you're remodeling or building a new kitchen, the pantry kit is a must-have!

If you're building or remodeling your home, considering transforming that wasted space under the stairs into a functional and fabulous focal point. And who couldn't use a few more drawers and cabinets?

What item in your kitchen gets used more frequently than the plate? Plate rack cabinet inserts are a great way to put your plates within arm's reach, while displaying them beautifully. Want to double the functionality? Get some under-cabinet hooks to hang your morning coffee cups!

Thanks for your encouragement as we build our house, East Village. I can idfintey with your "shoebox house" as our current trailer is a two-bedroom. That makes seven-going-on-eight of us living like sardines. But as you must know, it works. It sure helps to get in the regular habit of being positive, though. ;)Glad you stopped in. Hope to hear from you again soon.

I needed extra space for vdeois and DVDs and didn't want to spend a high amount of money for what local stores offered. This seemed like the a cheap, easy solution. It is what it is pictured to be, a cheap metal rack that hangs on a door. It only holds VCR tapes in the cardboard sleeves and still lays flat against the door. If you put in DVD cases or the hard plastic VCR tape cases it causes it to stick out more. Still for the money, it serves it's purpose. It also rattles against the door if you move the door. If you want something perfect, you have to pay more.

What a gorgeous nusrrey. We have the same expedit shelf in my daughter's nusrrey, on it's side for a changing table as well. But we haven't enjoying having so many open squares, which are awkward to fill sometimes. LOVE how you made it into the dresser. Can you share more about that process, pretty please?

If you have an L shaped coetnur. You measure from the corner to each end. Bring in both measurements to the store. The measurements should equal the combined cabinet measurements. You need to add 1 1/2" for an overhang at the end, where it's open.(where it doesn't end into a wall). At appliance openings, (like for a stove) the coetnur top stops even with the cabinet edge below it.

Hello. I see that you don't update your site too often. I know that writing content is boring and time consuming.

But did you know that there is a tool that allows you to create new articles using existing content (from article directories or other websites from your niche)?
And it does it very well. The new posts are unique and pass
the copyscape test. You should try miftolo's tools

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell
and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She
placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her
ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic
but I had to tell someone!

I wish to show some thanks to this writer just for bailing me out of this crisis. After surfing around through the the web and seeing proposals that were not pleasant, I assumed my entire life was over. Being alive minus the approaches to the issues you've resolved through your good guideline is a serious case, and the kind that would have negatively damaged my career if I hadn't noticed your blog. That expertise and kindness in touching all things was valuable. I am not sure what I would have done if I hadn't come across such a step like this. I am able to at this time look forward to my future. Thank you so much for your high quality and amazing help. I won't be reluctant to recommend your blog to any person who will need direction on this subject matter.
